Looking Forward To Work Again In The New Year 2010? The answer would be obviously "Not" for the majority but here are some ways to spice up your work wear for 2010.

As your eyes indulge in the scrumptious, sexy work wear from the Elie Saab Spring Summer 2009 collection, I present to you the Office work wear Do & Dont's for the fashionably inclined who just love a dose of pure flirty fun.

Feel free to add on if you feel the list below is incomplete *winks*

Do wear flirty clothes and when spotted, always have a fixed gaze, you want to connect those windows to the soul with the heart
Do wear lots of ruffles and frills, they are very girly chic
Do wear clothes with pockets. If not, what do you do with your fiddly fingers when you're flustering?
Do wear lovely silk scarves to take their breath away
Don't wear frumpy corporate suits and stiff-made starched collared shirts
Do carry bronze or copper totes to compliment your hot olive tan and ooze that sexy nude appeal
Don't wear bags with colours that blend in with your clothes, especially black+black, it's soooo boring
Do wear plunging V necks and ethnic prints for that brazen & wild look
Do wear statement pieces because you are different

Candy Colour Jim Jam

Time for a bit of colour to chase away the gloom from past year.
How would you dress for your New Year's Eve Party? I would make it an irresistible to look at, impossible to miss candy coloured frock, shiny sequin or embellished tights and no sparing of frills, ruffles, ribbons or anything shiny.

It's time to celebrate all things that were wonderful and memorable in the past and welcome the new year ahead.

Nomadic Tendencies

Merry Christmas everyone! Before I begin my usual description, I would like to thank all my followers and blog visitors who frequent my humble fashionising space here. I have an extra commitment now and may not be able to update my blog daily as I used to in the previous months. However, I will keep on posting every week so be sure to visit for fresh perspectives on fashion.

Like seasoned travellers roaming the vast vacant lands, sometimes green and full of life whilst sometimes barren and not a sign of any living creature, Trussardi's Fall Winter 2008 - 2009 collection illustrated the nomadic lifestyle with earthy tones of brown and black and wildlife inspired snakeskin, fur, feather, suede, owl print, plaited wool and shearling trimmed coats.

Cozy fur hats and simple, giant sling bags further enhanced the rugged, nomadic look of the Trussardi collection.

Like bright red flames burning in mad passion, the models emerged with straight blown hair with romantic side partings. Flirty dresses with cute babydoll cuts, swinging silks in colourful swirly prints, poufy skirt hems, plunging necklines with feathery skirts and apron inspired dresses were the key showpieces at Alberta Feretti Fall Winter 2008-2009.

As Christmas draws so very near, I hope all you ladies have picked the awesome-st dresses for your parties or loved one.

My Kind of White Christmas

The scene on Emilio Pucci Fall Winter 2008 - 2009 runway was not that of a bleak white Christmas but a merry white married with all other colours.

White tights, silver coats, off-white fur, eye-jarring shade of ice turquoise blue, frosted icicle belt against a black fur trimmed patent leather coat. Swirling frenzy of geometric prints in a limitless spectrum of colours including the all-important white.

This is how I would like my Christmas 2009 to be.

The Stuff Of Dreams

At Blumarine Fall Winter 2008-2009, there are clothes you can take to bed or take you to bed with fabrics resembling the stuffings of cotton soft pillows and down feathers.

Shawls made with exquisite cashmere, silk chemises with sexy cutouts and laced windows, a lavender silk trench that can double up as a pyjama, pastel chiffons, dyed fur, hundred of chiffon roses on wedding cake dresses, more feathery light and floating silks on floor length gowns in creams and leopard prints.

The Albino Fall Winter 2009 collection pieces were few but fabulous. The concentration paid to each detail and the amount of perfection put into each dress was far more than other ubiquitous & typical 50 piece Fall Winter collections you would see during fashion week.

The sensuality in deep red was played up with kitschy cool ribbons, shimmering dresses with exposing side zips on the bustiers, unconventional red suede motorcycle vests, silk and satins folded to imitate flower bouquets.

An expert play with balancing volumes, Albino designer Albino D'Amato works his magic on each statement making piece.

An abundance of paisely prints in subdued shades and South East Asian baju kurong style draping and one shoulder tops filled the Etro Spring Summer 2009 runway. The richly hued and printed garments shone with colours of glittering golds and mandarin orange, terracotta and red earthy tones, herbal green and vestal white. The perfect resort and getaway attire for lazy weekends and sunny afternoons.

Expert Layering

So how does a woman over 40 wear a mini skirt without being ridiculed (save for a few exceptions)? At Marios Schwab Spring Summer 2010, fine tailoring meets expert layering as this genius forms the saving grace for the matured women crowd who are dying to wear sexy, avant-garde and yet "proper", "age-friendly" clothing in his latest collection.

Watch how Marios Schwab works with the magic of layers in this Spring Summer 2010 collection. I would focus not so much on the clothes but the layering ideas presented.

One thing we know for sure is Marios Schwab does his peek-a-boo hip bone dress way classier than the infamous tramp-looking Balmain piece spotted on Anja Rubik and Demi Moore.

Are You The Flamboyant Type?

Strong shoulders fostered with the strength and volume of the great black ostrich feathers, oh the drama of drapery on dresses in purple, black& blue silks, mock-croc & rose-print jacquard.

Belgrade born young fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic launched her first collection in 2005 which always features "something out of the ordinary" clothes. She is known for her origami-like signature folds on her silk dresses and has continually stuck with her theme, revamping it with different materials and popping eyes with crowd-stopping imageries such as powerful shoulders and exploding volumes which she never fails to tame with expert draping and folds.

A Russian Christmas

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Kenzo's Fall Winter 2009-2010's inspiration was taken directly from the wintry escapade Russia. The clothes take the form of the great Russian bear with bulky fur sleeves & collars, huge fur pockets for vests and even a pinstripe jacket.

Pretty rose, floral, fruit & vine prints were sported on dresses, jackets, coats, suits and shawls, which made me thought of humble Russian peasants working in the fields for an honest living.

Some floral and harvest print pieces were lavishly embellished with hundreds of beads, stones, and semi precious gems.

The focal point of the Kenzo Fall Winter collection for me would be the lovely floral silk scarves that added a pop of colour and romantic feel to the mostly deep, dark and dull coloured bitter winter tones of a harsh Russian winter collection.
