Lindsay Lohan Spring Summer 2012 Philipp Plein Ad Campaign
Looking like a Versace ad campaign with Lindsay Lohan in peroxide blonde locks and Thomas Wylde inspired skull perforated studded chain bag
Notice how the star print black fur jacket next to Lindsay Lohan in the Phillipp Plein Ad Campaign uncannily resembles the Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter 2011 Goat Hair Star Print Mongolian Shearling Collar Jacket below from Net-a-porter?
Like an old Roberto Cavalli ad, Lindsay Lohan between palm fans dressed in a classic multi-colour leopard print maxi dress
Star spangled banner-tastic clad Lindsay Lohan in micro shorts and killer red heels trying to evoke a Napoléon Bonaparte styled harbour shot
If you don't know who Phillipp Plein is, you are not alone. The 34 year old Munich born German fashion designer sells overpriced copies of apparels and accessories inspired by renowned fashion designers such as Dolce and Gabbana.
I was shocked to see an upcoming and hardly known outside of Germany designer selling T-shirts for a couple of hundred euros online. Perhaps he is trying to pull a Christian Audigier.
In 2009, Christian Audigier whom part of his fashion apparel success was owed to his "Celebrity Wear" concept or paying paparazzi to photograph celebrities such as Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Usher, Madonna whom he had met in Los Angeles, published his autobiography: My American Dream: From the cities of Avignon, to the City of Angels.
In 2011, Christian Audigier sold the brand Ed Hardy to Iconix Brand Group Inc. for $ 62 million, following which, I have lost interest in the now mainstream for wannabe masses Ed Hardy label.
