Greenpeace: Zara Agrees To Go Toxic-Free by 2020

The World's Largest Fashion Retailer Inditex Group who owns Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe has finally committed for their apparel to go completely toxic-free by 2020.

This movement was started from Greenpeace International who launched the Greenpeace Detox campaign with a fashion show and press conference in Beijing 9 days ago. The campaign went viral globally at a lighting speed and reached 7.1 million Twitter and Weibo users. To date, more than 300,000 fashionistas, bloggers and activists have signed the Zara Detox Campaign petition.

Inditex Group owner Amancio Ortega happens to be the third richest man in the world according to Bloomberg. Zara now joins Puma, H&M, M&S, C&A and Li-Ning who have committed to removing all chemicals and chemical pollution in water caused by their manufacturing suppliers.

Dsquared Bling Black Rock & Roll

Canadian twins and Power Designer Duo Dean and Dan Caten behind the Flashy or Trashy Label - DSQUARED brings back the staples of fashion this Spring Summer 2013 with Rock and Roll style apparels dripping with huge gold chains and strings of pearl - rapper earning street cred, hanging as belts on high-cut waistline knicker shorts and layered necklaces. Each model had a shiny leather police hat heavily adorned with oversized studded chains and pearls.

The Spring Summer 2013 DSQUARED Rock and Roll collection comes with a tinge on Sadomasochism (S and M) which made me think of my favourite musician - Taylor Momsen. The DSQUARED runway show was pretty much made up of some girly LBD frocks, snakeskin jackets, quilted leather dress, embellished knicker shorts, signature statement pouffy cake dresses in leopard print, multi strap high heels and ankle boots, metallic silver leather jackets and a cute heart shape chain harness on lovely British supermodel of the moment - Cara Delevingne.

I was unsurprised by the DSQUARED collection, no doubt spectacular, it was kinda missing something when I discovered long-time veteran model Natasha Poly was absent from the runway.

Don't get me wrong. Supermodel idols that fashionistas worship more than celebrities - Lindsey Wixon, Bette Franke, Jessica Stam and Constance Jablonksi totally rocked the runway but I couldn't help but feel that a runway show without a Russian supermodel is ALWAYS INCOMPLETE.

Naughty & Nice, Romantic & Flirty - Blugirl Dresses

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Be Enchanted This Christmas Season with Dresses in Innocent White, Warm Earth and Nude Tones lovingly adorned with petals, lace trimmings, sheer, floaty silk, satin ribbons, sparkly gold and glittery sequins and Peek-A-Boo See-Through Designs.

Naughty and Nice, All Things Sugar and Spice is what I would describe the Blugirl Spring Summer 2012 collection. Blugirl is the teenage line of the matured and established Blumarine fashion collection helmed by Italian designer Anna Molinari.

Let your eyes be treated with an array of fashion splendour like no else with models parading down the runway in leopard prints, racy stripes, nude, earth tone lace-up booties, lace shorts and elegant gold pendants that drape down to the bosom.

The make-up was light, natural and minimal with only soft blush shades and well defined brows to make the models resemble fairies gliding through the runway in their ever so light, wing-like dresses.

The beaded and jewel encrusted headband that the models wore on the Blugirl Spring Summer 2012 runway show oozed sweet and romantic bohemian appeal that even a person like me who frowns upon hair accessories won by girls after the age of 12 wouldn't mind crowning myself with one of these sugar plum fairy sweet headbands.
