Louis Vuitton Advertises to Prostitutes for A/W 2013 Campaign

In this time and age where most of Europe and America are in deep recession, Louis Vuitton tries to drive home a message to their new target audience with a special editorial campaign with LOVE magazine for the Louis Vuitton Autumn Winter 2013 campaign featuring supermodels such as Cara Delevingne, and models who I swear look like Bette Franke and Magdalena Frackowiak, acting as prostitutes or more likely social escorts if they can afford Louis Vuitton.

The stick thin insect-like models masquerading as prostitutes in Louis Vuitton roam the alleyways, prance around naked on the streets and put up a show touching themselves naked in expensive cars ( Is it BMW or Mercedes Benz who has the bad name now?)

Her World Wants Men Sex with Wang Lee Hom

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Strangely enough, 2 weeks ago I had written about Her World magazine Singapore, a local fashion magazine and one of the oldest fashion publication here in Singapore botching up Emma Stone as Mila Kunis in a Cosmetic feature. (Original post here: Does Mila Kunis & Emma Stone Look Alike?)

One does not buy any Fashion magazine made in Singapore or any Singapore editions of Fashion Magazines.

I have always hated the local fashion publications here for their lousy editorials and this post just proves another point. Who is in charge of Digital Marketing department at Her World Magazine Singapore? Perhaps there isn't one and if there is, it must be someone who clearly cannot suppress his or her desire to use the words "men sex" twice in their website URL thus having a lot of "men sex" in their website folder or link title.

Or it could be a foreign employee who does not speak English at all. Note: Singapore is one of the countries in Asia with a ridiculous 1:10 citizen to foreigner ratio where unrest over space, jobs, safety and marriage is a growing issue that has been largely ignored by the government who insists on raising the population on this 41.8 km or 26 mile long tiny island which has a population density higher than overcrowded Hong Kong.

Visit the Her World magazine Singapore official facebook page to see the original post of the Her World magazine Sinagpore - Wang Lee Hom Boo boo here.

Style Steal: Burberry Studded Clutch with Animal Head

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Burberry Prorsum's Autumn Winter 2013 accessories featured the iconic large gold plated heads of the typical British countryside animals such as the owl, duck and fox.

If you have been looking for a studded clutch similar to the Burberry Prorsum Autumn Winter 2012 collection's, look no further with Australian high street fashion label Bardot's faux leather clutch with similar zip and studs design - all except for the animal head and of course the quality.

For AUD $29.95, one cannot argue further.

GUESS Spring Summer 2013 Event in Singapore

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

So, I received an invitation to the GUESS Spring Summer 2013 fashion presentation which would be happening in a few hours time.

The official sponsors for this event are Style Magazine Singapore, Action Hair Salon, Make Up Forever and Paragon Shopping mall which is located in the heart of Orchard road, in the bustling town centre of Singapore.

I am guessing plenty of colours in sorbet and neon green and pinks and floral prints this season.

Follow @unlikely_you on twitter for the latest updates on the GUESS event happening at 7pm (SGT), Paragon, Singapore.

Matthew Williamson Fabergé Brocade Pants

Achieve effortless style in this 9 to 5 office chic ensemble by Matthew Williamson.

When I first set eyes on this beautiful green and paisley motif brocade pants, I knew I wanted to wear it to work. However, the Matthew Williamson online shopping site did not ship internationally.

I tried my luck and contacted the Matthew Williamson office and was lucky to be assisted by the head of Digital Marketing - Miss Rossanna Falconer and her assistant Ilaria Rossi who made sure they did everything they could in their capacity to enable me and this beautiful pair of Faberge brocade pants by Matthew Williamson to finally meet and be together.

I struggled to get the pair of pants from December till end of February when I was back from my working holiday. It was like a Korean drama, long, painful, tedious but finally the wait paid off with a happy ending (not the ones you get in a Chinese or Thai massage parlour). My parcel arrived in Singapore after a few complications but it was well worth the wait.

Yves Saint Laurent - A Visionary Exhibition in Brussels, Belgium

Me, standing outside the ING Belgium Exhibition Centre in Brussels, awaiting entry to the YSL ~ Yves Saint Laurent, A Visionary Exhibition. The exhibition will be on from 30 January 2013 to 5 May 2013. It was unseasonably warm so I took off my green faux fur jacket while walking to the Art Centre.

Inside the YSL exhibit hall, posing next to what looks like A) A mummified lady in a cocoon or B) Massive warm phallic object or C) An English person from the 16th Century wearing a wig that any judge would be jealous of.

Mr Yves Saint Laurent was obviously influenced by Africa by the look of this bright orange silk robe heavily adorned with beads.

Mr Saint Laurent's work or fashion sketches with pieces of fabrics he chose for runway shows in the 1960s.

All pictures are mine. Please contact me if you would like to use them.

Does Mila Kunis & Emma Stone Look Alike?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And this is why one does not buy any Fashion magazine made in Singapore or any Singapore editions of Fashion Magazines. Popular with locals, Her World Magazine Editor-in-Chief and Beauty editor ought to be fired as they allow Beauty writer rookie Amanda Lai to makes a terrible blunder and then publish it.

Emma Stone is an American actress with Scandinavian roots and Mila Kunis is an American actress who migrated from Ukraine when she was 7. The number one obvious difference would be their skin colour. But how can an Asian tell? Just like the racist saying coined by Caucasians "All Asians look the same", the same can be said about white people in this evident post - "All White people look the same."

Quintessentially French - Paul & Joe Fall Winter 2013

Lindsey Wixon opened the Paul & Joe Fall Winter 2013 runway show at Paris Fashion Week which ended yesterday. The theme of the Fall Winter collection centered around wilderness and raw-edged French eccentricity of clashing prints - polka dots and checks in drab neutral colours of brown and beige. It was a bit like a Franco-Britannia marriage that obviously would not go well together but somehow managed to in the process.

Paul & Joe's designer - Sophie Albou started the label in the early nineties where there was only a menswear line. She added a womenswear label years later in 1996. Up until this very day, one can still see the strong influences of the menswear collection in the Paul & Joe womenswear collection in the form of well tailored coats and oversized blazers. Everything in the collection is roomy and comfy from the cut down to the fabric choices - living up to the name of a true French fashion & design house.

Fox fur neckwarmers, sheer blouses and dresses with gold thread detail, baroque print gold jaccquard coats, jackets and pants and thigh high boots all added to the glamour and understated sexiness of the Paul & Joe Fall Winter 2013 runway show pieces.

The Queen in Alexander McQueen

Did Sarah Jane Burton run out of ideas? The Alexander McQueen Fall Winter 2013 runway show contained only 10 outfits. Sara Burton was Alexander McQueen's personal assistant and took over McQueen shortly after his death or suicide in 2010.

The 10 massive gowns were inspired by the Golden Age or Elizabethan era (1558–1603) where Queen Elizabeth reigned and England triumphed over the Spanish. It was the golden era where England was thriving unlike now.

Without that influence, the Alexander McQueen collection could have looked like a bizarre all-white bridal wedding collection.

Lace ruffs around the necks, ornate pearl and jewel embellishments and most importantly, corseted bodices played a centre-stage in the Alexander McQueen show. The corsets - all the way from the chest down to the hips looked like huge birdcages attached. The last two looks on the runway were inspired by fluffy chicken feathers and ripped hems above the knees which made the models look a little bit like risqué cabaret dancers.

England Once Ruled - Plaguing and Pillaging America, Europe and areas in the far east, colonising teeny, tiny islands such as Singapore, Hong Kong and making it better or worst? That is debatable.

Sweet Siren at Saint Laurent, YSL's Youthful Label

It was Hedi Slimane's Second Attempt producing the runway collection for Yves Saint Laurent or what is known as Saint Laurent now at Paris Fashion Week 2013.

You can get pretty much most of the runway looks at the Saint Laurent Fall Winter 2013 catwalk from with back to school looks for teens. Whether you are the overtly wild-looking girl with a rather sensible and emotional side or a saccharine sweet girl with who really has a boring personality, the Saint Laurent collection would definitely fulfil either girl types.

Bee stung lips bombshell Lindsey Wixon looks stunned and equally stunning on the Saint Laurent runway in a sexy sweetheart neckline dress with long sleeves in mesh riddled with what looks like bullet holes.

The sexy fishnet tights and sparkly polka dot tights added a lovely contrast to cute lolita babydoll dresses and sexy black ensembles of leather, mesh, checks, dark floral prints and sequins respectively.

Notable looks at the Saint Laurent fashion show included models sporting cute lolita babydoll dresses complete with bibs and ribbons, undies worn as shorts and the return of rebellious knee length scarves.

What caught my eye in the collection were the beautiful coats - both the leopard print short hair coat and luxurious salmon pink peach fur coat.

Oh Deer! Givenchy's Ricardo Tisci at Paris Fashion Week

Who Says The Life of A Supermodel is Fun All The Time? Liu Wen wore a bright pink shower cap on the Givenchy Fall Winter 2013 catwalk at Paris Fashion Week.

Apparently it was supposed to be roses but at a closer look, it resembled neon rubber condoms tightly fixed to the scalp. Why would anyone wear that on the head and how does it beautify the model or add a statement to the granny apparel on Givenchy's runway?

The Granny look strikes again at Givenchy's Fall Winter 2013 Runway show as the Givenchy woman tries to look young again wearing Disney cartoon characters; however she is also wearing a skirt that is way below her knees in a traditional ditsy floral print which matches an English porcelain tea set.

Horrors of all horrors went to a rose printed biker jacket paired with a sheer rose printed long skirt and dark orange striped snakeskin boots.

I have always wondered why some designers choose to destroy their pieces with horribly clashing matching pieces - dresses, tops, jackets, bottoms, shoes and showercap accessories or skull caps that clearly do not go together.
Worse still, the skull caps reminds one of chemotherapy patients - a look which no one needs to reminded of especially if you have a relative or close ones that has suffered from cancer and undergone chemotherapy. It certainly does not help that when it comes to high-end fashion designers, more often than not skeletal and ill-looking models over healthy models are picked for the runway shows.

In the second part of the Givenchy Fall Winter 2013 runway show, fashion designer Ricardo Tisci was obviously inspired by everything Scottish and Scotland, possibly the movie Braveheart too as he transforms the runway models into a bizarre bunch of angry Scottish rugby players cross dressing in old lady garb in their short "shower cap looking", tight curly bright orange  wigs which accentuated too much of the frowning masculine-looking models' faces.

Scandinavian Chic at H&M

H&M's Fall Winter 2013 Runway Collection is no doubt one of the highlights at Paris Fashion Week 2013 with most designers such as Alexander Wang for Balenciaga who continued the boring monochromatic designs for rich old ladies or young women who think dressing older = classy looking, having a real brain freeze for new ideas this season.

The H&M models were split into two tribes - The Arabian Nights tribe with a mix of see-through and sheer mini-dresses, long dresses and skirts embellished with sequins, worn over huge, long trench coats and the Preppy-chic tribe with train conductor or newspaper boy caps, oversized sweaters paired with studded leather mini-shorts, oversized fluffy faux fur jackets paired with mini dresses with sexy slits frock necj down to the belly in brown suede and black leather over-the-knee boots.

Smiling supermodel Cara Delevingne sealed the look for this season with the return of see-through dresses and peek-a-boo lingerie.
