H&M - The New Icons Fashion Collection
The H&M - The New Icons fashion collection is an ingenious campaign and collection by using the fashion world's dearest supermodel icons on the high-fashion runway - supermodels such as Daphne Groenevald who was the face of Versace, Lanvin and Dior cosmetics, Joan Smalls who appeared in campaigns for Burberry and online luxury fashion retailer Net-A-Porter, Liu Wen who was the face of Calvin Klein and Lindsey Wixon who was the face of John Galliano, Dior, Miu Miu and Jill Stuart campaigns, who are the current sensation and adoration of the fashion world that also appeal to H&M's younger crowd.
I had no intention of buying anything from the H&M The New Icons Collection but I had to give in when I saw the striking resemblance of the faux suede waterfall necklace on my favourite supermodel - Lindsey Wixon which looked like the one Sasha Pivovarova wore down the Roberto Cavalli Spring Summer 2011 runway.
The black wool hat on Lindsey was perfect not only for shielding away the sun's harsh rays in summer but a stylish accessory that would enhance any simple bohemian or hippie style dressing which I absolutely love! At $24.90, I would be insane to not have purchased it.
Alas, the beautiful and simple black sheer maxi skirt has sold out.
