Fashion Blogger Diaries: Braving It All In the Name of Fashion
Today, I shall take a break from writing about my negative dengue experience. Instead, in today's Flashback Friday post, I would like to write about how I remained positive depsite suffering from dengue.
This was what I wore out during the weekend in my early stages of dengue even when I was feverish, feeling weak and had a metallic taste in my mouth. I was sick of being confined to the four walls of my home due to the dengue virus ravaging my body.
I decided to wear something bright and shiny to chase the blues away. (Silver metallic leggings from River Island)
Something sporty and fun could chase the blues away. (Vintage Harajuku bomber jacket from River Island)
Perhaps a walk in the butterfly park down Orchard Road would work some wonders to help me cope with my dengue fever. (Black wool hat, H&M Singapore)
Appreciating the greenery around me when ironically dengue fever virus spreading Aedes mosquitoes may be lurking somewhere around hot, humid and rainy Singapore.
Sporty wear is never complete without a classic pair of military lace-up ankle booties (Green suede booties from Hussein Chalayan X Puma collection)
I went out with natural earthy tone make-up for that day - brown, copper and nude beige tones. Although it was a short outing, I was happy I could go out and breathe some fresh air, especially after the haze had disappeared from Singapore.
I absolutely love my baby blue tiny sequin cocktail party bag which I use for normal day outs on weekends. I purposefully chose a large fur key chain that contrasted with the small-sized bag.
(tomorrow, I shall resume My Dengue Diary Part IV)
My life will never be the same again as I continue to battle the dengue virus in my body..
