Style Steal: Stella McCartney Falabella Silver Tote

When I first set eyes on the Stella McCartney Falabella tote, it was in Paris, yellow and in python print. As Stella McCartney is vegetarian and a staunch supporter of PETA, all her runway and ready-to-wear fashion apparel and accessories are made of non-animal materials.

I could not bring myself to purchase the Faux leather Falabella chain tote, no doubt beautiful but practically I was paying a full price of a leather handbag for a non-leather handbag which my practical side of my mind could not agree with.

Lo & behold, recently I stumbled upon this Australian High-Street fashion retailer - Bardot which happens to sell an incredibly close replica of the Stella McCartney Falabella chain tote in silver for $49.95 Aussie dollars - A fraction of the price of the genuine Stella McCartney Falabella chain tote in silver which retails at $1165 USD at Bergdorf Goodman.

Which one would you purchase?

Animalier Mania At Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2013

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2013 Fashion Collection was inspired by Wildlife as animal prints such as feathers and leopard prints riddled most of his collection - Deers, zebras, and birds.

Plenty of fur was used in oversized fur coats and jackets in varying textures and colours to construct his fun, fearless safari collection for fall.

On the flip side, the Roberto Cavalli collection also included tailored silk suits with baroque prints in flaming red. icy blue and lace trimmed dresses.

The perforated lace blazer and see-through pants constructed out of delicate lace embroidery was an iconic piece at the Pre-Fall showcase.

When all else fails, sticking to the roots of animal and baroque prints in the Italian collection helps prevail.

Tool Cool For School

Italian Designer Alessandro Dell Acqua Stays True To His Brand's Roots of Dressing A Woman Or Girl in this case for his younger diffusion line - N21 or  N° 21 In Ultra Sexy Yet Elegant Clothes.

Alessandro Dell Acqua balances the sexy yet elegant factor just well with each model showing just enough skin in each of the N21 Fall Winter 2012 runway collection piece. For instance, ultra boyish heavy wool jackets and blouse was paired with a micro-mini bead and lace panelled skirt, a peak-a-boo peach cream sport bra which reminded me of Prada's Spring Summer 2009 runway collection, was paired with a plunging beaded black top, gray wool mini-skirt and oversized jacket.

Norwegian Supermodel Siri Tollerod looked like a lifelike doll in a saccharine sweet silk teal blue dress with princess sleeves.

Hard metal sequins in tonal black and red were used to create a beautiful plunging V-neck dress and top which was balanced with a silk peach pastel bra and lace petal skirt respectively (see picture above) to strike a fine balance between the hard contrast of masculinity and femininity to create a powerful, modern look for a woman of strong character.

Nightmare Before Christmas at Sao Paulo Fashion Week

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Brazilian Fashion Designer Lino Villaventura's Fall Winter 2013 Runway Collection at Sao Paulo Fashion Week Will Give You The Shivers with Dramatic Nightmare Before Christmas inspired make-up to create hollowed out skull sockets aka Jack Skellington.

Brazillian Designer Lino Villaventura has been designing since 1978 and had started the label Lino Villaventura 20 years ago.

The Fashion Designer's Gothic Collection was complete with see-though spiderwebbed design outfits made with gauze, plenty of crinkled satin sheets as long evening dresses.

For menswear, Lino Villaventura chose cool patched and embossed patent leather and shredded crepe fabric - all in black.

Each model wore a crinkled satin snood to dramatise the creepiness and suspense during the Lilo Villaventura runway show.

Unfortunately, I do not see any wearable or inspiring pieces in this collection that and am quite unimpressed with the theatrical dressing.

In the evening dress and gown arena, numerous red-carpet worthy looks could be spotted on Roberto Cavalli's Spring Summer 2013 runway show with embellished, embroided and sequin lace, perforated leather belts and pants with sexy cut-out holes above the chest, belly, hips and thigh high revealing slits on flowing silk evening dresses.
